Orsen was born from the will of two major players in the industry service to support developments and projects in Oil & Gas environment with designed and fitted solutions compliant, a highest levels of standards and strong requirements, whether they be HSE, Quality, Local Content, Schedule and Compliance.

Strategically located on the port of Dakar, Orsen has a workshop with a quayside access as well as the appropriate material resources to support Oil & Gas’s clients on all their projects.

Proof of its ambition, Orsen plans to invest US$5 million in the development of its infrastructure as well as in the development of its teams’ skills.

For more than four years now, the QHSE International department as well as the international agencies of the ORTEC Group have integrated a continuous improvement approach based on:

In this way, an integrated management system (IMS) was implemented taking into account the requirements of:

  • Quality with ISO 9001,
  • Safety and Health with OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001and MASE,
  • Environment with ISO 14001.

This IMS is developed in order to harmonize the practices implemented in the different entities of the International Department. It describes the general criteria and prescriptions necessary for the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the quality, occupational safety and environment management system, for all the international activities of the ORTEC Group.

This IMS is currently deployed on all agencies and projects in the international department of the ORTEC Group and its effectiveness is recognized due to the obtaining of nine ISO and MASE certifications across its entire scope.

In order to ensure continuity of this IMS, a QHSE team is dedicated to the head office of the ORTEC group. Its role is to supervise, advice and evaluate the QHSE teams of agencies and projects and to promote the continuous improvement process by ensuring:

  • Promoting of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment culture,
  • Sharing and promoting of good practices and tools,
  • Monitoring performance indicators for our activities.
